Wheelchair Accessible Entrances
There is a wheelchair ramp and access door on the north west corner of the church (see photo).
HandyDart, taxi, car drop-off, and four disabled parking spaces are on the south side of the church (see below) beside another wheelchair accessible entrance. Enter the laneway off Cartier Street or Devonshire Crescent.
Accessible Washroom
St. John’s is equipped with accessible washrooms in both the church and the Trendell Lounge in the Administration Building where hospitality functions are held.
Assistive Listening System
St John’s Shaughnessy has assistive listening devices available. Visitors may request one from greeters at the main door to the church. They have individualized volume controls and can be used throughout the worship space.
The assistive listening devices use earbuds, which you can keep after you use them and bring back on your next visit. You can also use your own personal headset or earbuds if they have 3.5mm connectors (used with personal audio devices or smartphones).
Wheelchair Parking Spaces
On the south side of the church, there are 4 designated handicapped spaces. The south entrance is also wheelchair accessible.
