Jonathan was born in Birmingham UK, has lived in New Zealand for many years, and is now a grateful adopted kiwi. He came to Montréal and now Vancouver with his black Labrador Beau to join his husband Soqati, a Saudi refugee at Vancouver Film School. Jonathan long ago funded his rent through law school singing five services a week in Chester Cathedral, and most recently sang in Wellington Cathedral choir alongside various legal jobs for the New Zealand Government. In between he’s been an environmental lawyer in London (singing evensongs at St Paul’s Covent Garden and with Londinium) and Brussels (Bach cantatas at the Eglise des Minimes). With lots of free time he’s now trying to relearn how to play the organ.
