St. John’s Shaughnessy’s annual Blessing of the Animals Service will be happening on Sunday, Oct 2nd at 2pm. It is our tradition to have a service in honor of St. Francis where we have our pets blessed at the church.
All are welcome! Bring your pet (dog, cat, goldfish, parrot, gerbil, snake …) on a leash or in a carrier or a photo of a pet who has passed away for the service.
We will be raising funds for local animal rescue organisations and will likely have about 15 or so canine friends attending with regular parishioners. It is always lots of fun!
