Join Rhythm ‘n’ Roots as we sing our hearts out at our first performance in two years! After an eventful virtual season of working with singers and tradition bearers in Corsica, Georgia, South Africa, Quebec and the US we are thrilled to share the fruits of our labour and sing for YOU!
From Corsican prayers to Georgian horse riding songs, Quebecois toasts to Xhosa celebrations, Rhythm ‘n’ Roots will cover a lot of musical ground! From rousing calls to action to gentle songs of acceptance, from ancient songs to new compositions, we will take part in these living vocal traditions. Under the direction of Karla Mundy, Rhythm ‘n’ Roots will bring you a beautiful evening of music that you definitely won’t hear anywhere else in the city!
**Masks must be worn by all audience members. The choir will be masked and only soloists, small group singers and the conductor will be unmasked.**
